Superfunk

About

Funky house music band from Marseille, France.

After the success of "New Jersey" as Dealers De Funk, the previous trio released several club tracks on the Fiat Lux label. The album "Hold Up" (2000) followed, which contained the original versions of club favourites "Last Dance", "Lucky Star", and "The Young MC".

Shortly after, Fafa Monteco (aka Fabrice Texier) left the trio to concentrate on a new job in Radio RFM, Paris.

The duo made a comeback in 2018 - fuelled by the rebirth of Fiat Lux Records, which relaunched for its 20th anniversary - with Stephane B (aka Stéphane Bonan) fronting as a DJ.

Unfortunately Stéphane died in August 2020, leaving Mike 303 (aka Hamdi Hassen) the only member left behind the Superfunk project.
