In 1974 Roger Chapman and Charlie Whitney formed a band with a fluid line up including members of Family and King Crimson. They released an album [m161377] the same year. In 1975 guitarist and vocalist Bobby Tench from The Jeff Beck Group and bass player Jon Plotel, who were already members of the ever changing Chapman-Whitney touring band, joined Chapman and Whitney in a stable five piece line up simply called Streetwalkers, along with drummer Dave Dowle. Dowle was later replaced by Nicko McBrain (who later became drummer for Iron Maiden). They released three studio albums as Streetwalkers, before disbanding in 1977.
