Storm & Stress (alternately styled as Storm&Stress or Stormandstress) were an American free jazz and experimental/math rock band. The band's name is derived from the German literary movement Sturm und Drang. Storm & Stress initially consisted of bassist George Draguns, drummer Kevin Shea and vocalist/guitarist Ian Williams, with Eric Emm replacing Draguns for the group's second LP; Under Thunder & Fluorescent Lights.
Following the band's dissolution, Shea would reunite with Draguns as two thirds of Form And Mess (alongside Nick Millevoi), while Williams would form Battles and Emm briefly took on bass duties in the rebooted version of Don Caballero, for whom Williams had previously played guitar.
