Swedish writer and journalist, born 5 October 1923 in Älvkarleby, Uppsala County, died 5 November 1954 in Enebyberg, Danderyd, Stockholm County.

He was one of the most prominent authors in Swedish forties and received Svenska Dagbladet's literature prize in 1946. Despite his early death, Dagerman managed to write four novels and a large number of short stories, plays, poems, daily verses and reports.
