American R&B guitarist, bass vocalist & bandleader.
Born October 17, 1914in Lynchburg, Virginia. Died March 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Married to singer Damita Jo (1954-8).
He mainly recorded in the 1940's-60's and was the driving force behind the Five Red Caps and its numerous offshoots of the band.
Around 1980, Steve Gibson was part of the "New Ink Spots", a promotional album "The Wonderful World of the New Ink Spots" on Spot Records.
