Steffen Schleiermacher

(born May 3, 1960 in Halle) is a German composer, pianist, and conductor. He studied at the Leipizig Music School with Siegfried Thiele and post graduate at the Köln Music School with Aloys Kontarsky. In 1988 he co-founded the [a=Ensemble Avantgarde], which is committed Contemporary classical music until today. Numerous international recordings and concert appearances.
