Solanaceae Tau

German band and art project from Frankfurt (Main), active mainly in the DIY underground from ca. 1986 onwards. Anarcho-leftwing orientated lyrics are combined with cold electronic beats, female vocals, tape collages and occassional guitars. With this mixture they made a unique stand in between genres as Minimal, Experimental Electronic and Industrial / Neo Folk / Darkwave. Solanaceae Tau ended officially in 2022 after the untimely death of musical head Andreas Kirchner.
