Sleepy Sleepers is a Finnish novelty rock band from Lahti, founded in 1974. Former female vocalist for the band "Heinäsirkka" is rumored to have left the group after some male members of the band pissed on her on stage. In 1989 Finnish movie director Aki Kaurismäki asked the band to perform in his movie "Leningrad Cowboys go America". Due to the success of Leningrad Cowboys, Sleepy Sleepers was put aside.
Sleepy Sleepers made a comeback in 2007 by releasing a new album.
