Skunkhour formed in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia during 1991 by brothers Aya & Del Larkin. The band was known for their unique brand of funk / hip-hop & rock. Despite their success in the Sydney live band scene, critical acclaim and a following on Triple J radio, Skunkhour didn't manage to convert this into mainstream Australian commercial success. After rapper Del Larkin left in 1996, Skunkhour continued to tour and released three more well received albums before deciding to call it quits in 2001. Since 2009 the band have reunited occasionally for live performances (with Del). During August and November 2018, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut 'Skunkhour', the band performed the album live in it's entirety. On August 19th 2022 Skunkhour issued a new single, 'Blue', which was then followed by the four song EP 'Parts of the Sun' on September 23rd 2022.
