Formed and performed with his own Mud Fam (Mad Under Dogs) crew at various venues in London in the mid-to-late 1990s.
Recorded his first record with the Mud Fam, with Deckwrecka, in 1997 (The Mud Files Vol. 1).
Signed by [a=Paul Martin] to [l=Talkin' Loud] in September 2001 but the label's closure while Skinnyman was in prison meant he was unable to record material.
His influential debut album, Council Estate Of Mind, was released in 2004.
