Sister Souljah

Sister Souljah, who burst upon the hip-hop scene as a member of [a=Public Enemy], is a beloved personality in the urban community and an author and educator of underclass youth in New York. In 1999, she became a novelist who was instrumental in reviving the genre known as street lit with her now-classic “The Coldest Winter Ever.” As of 2021, she has written six novels and one memoir.
