    Greek musicologist, researcher, cantor, music teacher, who specialized in Byzantine music tradition, and jurist. He also wrote his own music, and performed himself as a chanter or singer. Born 3 June 1903 in Lepreo, Elis, Greece - Died 26 January 1999 in Athens, Greece.

    In 1929, he founded Σύλλογος Προς Διάδοσιν Της Εθνικής Μουσικής. In 1931, he was hired at National Radio, where he established and directed the national music department, a position he held until 1973.
