Starting with experiments involving short-waves and acoustic noises in the field between musique concrete and post-industrial around 1981 he became a very active player in the worldwide cassette culture. He ran his own label Bestattungsinstitut and published loads of releases ranging from experimental to ebm, electro, techno, to ambient spread allover the world's tape labels from 1985 to 1993. Later he used netlabels for digital releases (often freely available) to publish some of his ever evolving solo output.
Since 2009 he publishes mainly as Pharmakustik and in 2013 additionally his most popular collaboration Delta-Sleep-Inducing Peptide - with Dieter Mauson - was reactivated
