US soul/funk musician, songwriter, arranger and producer, born on Oct. 30, 1942 in Danville, VA.

Co-founder of R&B group The Xciters in the early of 1960's. By the early 1970's, Sid moved to Los Angeles, where with other Chicago musicians formed the group South Shore Commission. He worked with the likes of Billy Stewart, The Dells, Alvin Cash & the Crawlers, the Rotary Connection, saxophonist Monk Higgins and the late Charles Stepney, among others. Sid was co-writer and session guitar player on many songs recorded in Chicago during the mid to late 1960's.
