Shuvel

American rap-metal group formed in Kansas during 1997. The members of Shuvel relocated to Los Angeles and signed with the major label Interscope, who released their debut record "Set It Off" in 2000. Described as an amalgamation of Helmet, Rage Against the Machine and Beastie Boys, it failed to make an impact in the mainstream, and as such Shuvel were let go by the label. In spite of this, they went on to release several more independent recordings during the 2000s such as "Return Of The Fist" in 2006 and "As The World Burns" in 2009 (their final release), before eventually announcing their split up on Facebook in 2011.
