Formed out of prototype 1969 The Pink Fairies band when Twink left January 1970 to form more serious version of band with ex members of The Deviants. Remaining members Mick Farren and Steve Peregrin Took recruited Larry Wallis and Tim Taylor. Farren left, leaving Took as outright bandleader, with drummer Phil Lenoir completing the line-up. Recorded three tracks at Strawberry Studios April 1970 and played live at the Phun City festival July 1970. Taylor and Lenoir left and new drummer Dave Bidwell joined. Mutated into solo acoustic career for Took after he was the only member available to play December 1970 booking at The Roundhouse. Took, Wallis and Bidwell recorded acoustic demos of four Took songs at Wallis's father's home studio in early 1971.
