Cuban son band founded by Ignacio Piñeiro in 1927. Also known as "Sexteto Nacional Ignacio Piñeiro". Previously known as Sexteto Occidente (founded in 1926 by María Teresa Vera). Their name was changed to Septeto Nacional in 1928 after a trumpet player was added to the lineup. They reduced their activity in the 1930s and stoped activity in early 1940s. They only came back in the 1950s, as Septeto Nacional De Ignacio Piñeiro.
