Seize formed in 1995 by Sandrine and later joined by Steven in 97 released their first single "Blades" in 99 quickly followed by the club hit "Victim". Their first album "Lunacy" was released in 2000 to critical acclaim, and is a dark brooding masterpiece combining breaks with trip hop and lush strings with Sandrine’s amazing vocal dexterity. Comparisons with Portishead, Massive Attack and more recently Kosheen are obvious but the members of Seize feel they have their own sound. 2002 saw the band’s number grow again when Rosie joined and added her skills to the live sound and performance.
