Seam was an alternative/independent rock band formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1990 by Sooyoung Park (vocals, guitar), Lexi Mitchell (bass), and Mac McCaughan (drums). The band released their first LP, "Headsparks" on Homestead Records in 1991. Afterwards, Park and Mitchell parted ways with McCaughan and relocated to Chicago, IL, where they signed with Touch And Go Records. Bundy K. Brown (guitar) and John McEntire (drums) briefly joined the band for the "Kernel" EP but were soon replaced by Craig White (guitar) and Bob Rising (drums) for 1993's "The Problem With Me". In 1995, Seam released their 3rd LP, "Are You Driving Me Crazy?", which featured Sooyoung Park and entirely new line-up consisting of Reg Shrader (guitar), William Shin (bass), and Chris Manfrin (drums). This line-up also appeared on 1998's "The Pace Is Glacial", the band's final release. John Lee replaced Reg Shrader in 1999 but this line-up did not release any material. The band (Park/Shin/Manfrin/Lee) reunited to play Touch And Go's 25th Anniversary Party in 2006.
