Savage Opera formed in 1987/88 in London,England - Rehearsing in Westbourne Grove - active until 1991,an often chaotic Noise,Industrial,Experimental,Avant Rock Band,playing gigs in the London and Windsor Areas. Utilizing Metal Percussion with Oil Drums & a Percussion Rack with suspended car wheels, chains and various scrapyard salvaged metal items,a Generator frame with horizontally mounted Bass Drum and Roland Drum machine with it's own full P.A System and Bass Bins on stage ,with Guitar,Bass,Vocals and Keyboard/Samples as well as Tape Loops and Found Sounds for a loud,aggressive & intense sound. Diverse influences included Swans,Liquid Liquid,Faust,Sugar Hill Gang,Velvet Underground,Pere Ubu,Tom Waits,Hawkwind,Brian Eno ,On U Sound,The Stooges,Can. They released/produced a live Cassette recorded in Dingwalls,London and a 12 " single recorded in Vons Recording Studios London.
