Sanae Johnouchi is a currently active Japanese Enka singer and a former Idol from the 1980's multi-member idol group Onyanko Club, in which she was member #17.
Sanae is one of 16 Onyanko Club members who had solo releases during their tenure in the group, and the only Onyanko Club member who specialized in the traditional Enka singing style.
After the disestablishment of Onyanko Club in 1987, Sanae continued to sing enka and popular music with good success through various record companies.
In 2016 Sanae received a prestigious award from Japanese Composers Association.
