    The Südwestrundfunk (SWR) is a German public-law broadcaster operating in the states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, with headquarters in Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and Mainz. Its emergence in 1998 is due to the fusion of Süddeutscher Rundfunk and Südwestfunk.
