    Ryutaro Nakahara, better known as Ryu☆, first appeared on Beatmania IIDX 4th Style Original Soundtracks after winning a musicianship trial along with kors k, sanctioned by Konami for Beatmania IIDX (a series of rhythm video games). He is currently one of the most active and influential artists on the Bemani (Konami's music video game division) scene, having at least one new song for each new game on every active Bemani series except for Múseca and Nostalgia.


    Ryu☆ is one of the artists behind Exit Tunes (Executive-Director). Many of his recent works for Bemani are licensed by Exit Tunes. Alternatively, Ryu☆ regularly appears in the Hardcore Syndrome (Hardcore Tano*C) series of albums and in various S2TB Recording releases.
    Ryutaro is known for being one of the most prominent figures in Japanese hardcore, dabbling into every hardcore genre down to speedcore. He's also proficient on dance music like bubblegum dance, hands-up and lately, EDM and dubstep.
    Together with Xceon, they've made themselves a name into J-Pop as well, frequently collaborating with Mayumi Morinaga on a handful of songs, including two for the TV anime adaptation of Fairy Tail.
