Her career spanned nine decades. Her father was a Broadway actor. As a child performer, she had a successful singing career as Baby Rose Marie. A veteran of vaudeville, her career included film, radio, records, theater, night clubs and television. She appeared in vaudeville with Dick Powell, Rudy Vallee and Jimmy Durante, who mentored her.
She is perhaps known by modern audiences as the comedy writer "Sally Rogers" on The Dick Van Dyke Show that ran from 1961 to 1966 and now in reruns.
Married to trumpeter Bobby Guy.
