Romain Collin

French pianist and composer born in 1975 in France, now based in New York City, Collin came to the US to attend Berklee College of Music on a scholarship, where he majored in Music Synthesis and studied performance with the likes of [a=Dave Liebman] and Joe Lovano. In 2007, Romain graduated from the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz where he held a Full Scholarship. Collin has taught improvisation at the New School of Music in New York, and was invited to teach film scoring at Princeton University as a guest lecturer. He performed alongside artists such as Mike Stern, Gregoire Maret, John McLaughlin, Bill Frisell, Christian McBride, Clarence Penn, Lauryn Hill and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
