British songwriter, musician and producer, born August 19, 1940 in Bristol, UK. In 1975 he moved to the U.S. and settled in Nashville, Tennessee, where country musicians recorded his songs, with hits including Crystal Gayle's "Talking In Your Sleep" and "Love Is On A Roll" by [a=Don Williams (2)].

Inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009.
