Rocketship began around 1993 as a group with singer/songwriter guitarist Dustin Reske, keyboardist Heidi Barney, bassist Verna Brock and drummer Jim Rivas (of Holiday Flyer). From 1996 Rocketship is an alias of Dustin Reske, who writes the music and lyrics, occasionally accompanied by other performers. Since 2015 Rocketship's vocalist has been Ellen Osborn.
