Roberto Badoglio

He started playing bass after studying piano for few years. During 2005/06 he attended Berklee College of music in Boston, where he also had the opportunity of studying privately with trombonist Hal Crook and to play with renown pianist Joanne Brackeen in her ensemble. During this period he published an album with the fusion band OddFlow.
After Berklee he moved to NY city, joined the band of the pop singer Adama, and kept performing around town and on international tours with many great musicians of the NY scene. During this period he recorded his first solo album and released it in 2010.
Roberto he´s currently living in Berlin, leading the international band Beyond Turbines together with Bjössi Klütsch on guitar, Steve Hunt on keys and Virgil Donati on drums. He is also leading his own trio, with Marko Djordjevic on drums and Bjössi Klütsch. He´s involved in several different projects together with multi instrumentalist Helmut Engel. He´s regularly performing with the band of saxophonist Reiner Hess Raumshiff jazz, the “afro beat” band of balafonist Aly Keyta. In 2016 he toured japan with the quartet of free jazz saxophonist Soon Kim and South America with the progressive band Residents Of The Future.
