Robert Sarnoff

US record company and television executive. Joined [l=NBC (2)] in 1948 as an account executive and worked his way up to become President of the network in 1955. Left NBC in 1965 to take over the role of President of [l=RCA] from his father [a=David Sarnoff]. Also became the CEO in 1970, he held both positions until leaving RCA in 1975. Husband of opera singer [a=Anna Moffo]. Born July 2, 1918 Died February 22, 1997
