Replicant Impulse (original name from 1997-2001: Replicant Repulse) formed at the end of 1997 by three teenagers (Chris, Brian, & Liam) into punk and digital hardcore. Started off recording with stolen equipment from Radio Shack and an old 80’s ghettoblaster as the recording device. Producing splatterbreaks, ambient, breakcore, jungle, experimental, & noise. For production from 1998 onwards; MPC-2000, another MPC-2000, SH-101, PSS-170, SP202, SU10, RFX-2000, Kaoss Pad, etc.... The band also recorded a track for the never-released 12” compilation “Shizuo No II” on Shizuo Rec in 2001, which was finally released in 2018 on DIRGEFUNK RECORDS as a split with a never before released Give Up track. .
