Admittedly, when the heads of the Hamburg radio suggested that she stay in Germany permanently, she categorically refused, but after returning to the country she had to fight again for her place on the stage, because the Propaganda Bureau of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party (Władysław Gomułka was then the party's first secretary) treated her like a traitor - reportedly she was punished for refusing to cooperate with the Security Services.
