Raquel Bitton is French jazz singer and recording artist. Raquel was born in Marrakesh, Morocco and has been living in USA since 1970. Bitton is recognized as the foremost singer of French music in America today and has been internationally appreciated as one of the best interpreter of the music from Edith Piaf repertoire. Also it is known about her collaboration with French composer Paul Misraki, her successful attempt to present a stuff linking American Country music and French music, her rendition of the songs written by Charles Trenet, Gilbert Becaud, Michel Legrand, well-known Latin composers, Sydney Bechet, Django Reinhardt, Jacques Brel and other notable composers and performers. Raquel Bitton sings on English, French and Spanish, makes English translations of original lyrics, comes out as producer and executive producer.
