It was the first group to devote themselves to merge merengue and hip-hop, although in the eighties Wilfrido Vargas' orchestra had dabbled in merengue-rap fusions.
The group was founded in 1989 by Nelson Zapata & Rick Echavarría; they were the groups' original members. Later the original producer for the group Pavel De Jesus and John G. Wilson aka Magic Juan became part of the group. Debuting with their original manager, Porfirio "Popi" Piña.
The present members are Nelson Zapata, Kid-G, Josué Cedeño and Paolo Tondo. One of his greatest successes was with the theme "El Tiburon" in the early 90's. Other successes were Esta Pega'o, Move Your Body (Mueve La Cadera), Latinos & Another Night.
After them came other groups with similar characteristics as their compatriots Sandy & Papo, Fulanito, Ilegales and El Cartel.
