Private Eye

Boogie, funk and modern soul trio, originated with an LP release and singles from 1983, after their departure from Bill Summers & Summers Heat. Around 1985, the group produced, composed and performed for artists such as Jane Terry and Chas (aka Charles Green) on the Love Joy Records label. The trio also produced, composed and performed for an LP release in 1987 by the group Street Fare. Private Eye includes: Claytoven Richardson (keyboards, lead and background vocals), Larry Batiste (keyboards, lead and background vocals) and William “Rock” Kennedy (drums, keyboards, guitar and background vocals).
