Swedish jazz rock fusion supergroup. Pop Workshop consisted of Wlodek Gulgowski (also known from Made in Sweden, keyboards), Zbigniew Namysłowski (saxophone), Janne Schaffer (guitar), Stefan Brolund (bass), Ed Thigpen (percussion), Ahmadu Jah ( percussion) and Ola Brunkert (drums). On the second album the members were Gulgowski, Namysłowski, Schaffer and Mads Vinding (bass) and Tony Williams (drums). Thigpen had made himself known in 1959 in collaboration with pianist Oscar Peterson, while Williams, who previously played with Miles Davis, in 1969 formed the band The Tony Williams Lifetime.
