Plus Instruments

About

Plus Instruments' existence spans over the last 4 decades in a variety of constellations. Often also credited + Instruments the project was established in 1978 by Truus de Groot in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, as she tinkered with toy and electronic instruments in her flat - amidst the explosion of Punk Rock & New Wave. Even though Truus was very active in those genres, the more experimental side gradually took over and the concept of Plus Instruments was born. She first collaborated with Bregt Camphuijzen and released a 7" as BAnd T + Instruments in 1980. Collaborations with Nasmak in 1980-1981 gave the band more visibility. The project has continued since, essentially as a project by Truus & the people she involves.
