German-American composer and violinist (173?–1793) He composed the music for the tune "[i]Washington's March[/i]" or "[i]President's March[/i]" who was first played ceremonially on 1789 in Trenton, New Jersey to honor [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/3907962-George-Washington-7]George Washington[/url]. Later in 1798, the song has been re-arranged with lyrics by [a4058670] and renamed "[i]Hail, Columbia[/i]".
