In 1987, Heppner founded the duo Wolfsheim with whom he became well known in the underground. Later he collaborated with Joachim Witt, Schiller, and [a=Paul Van Dyk], which made him well known to a wider public.
Further, he has done guest vocals for many other artists.
Left Wolfsheim in January 2009 due to personal differences.
