American country singer. Born August 8, 1942 in Marlin, Texas and raised in Waco, Texas. She began her career as a child vocalist on local radio. In the late 1960s and early 1970s. She charted 8 times between 1969 and 1973 on the U.S. country charts, with "Mama, I Won't Be Wearing a Ring" and "Sugarman" both coming in at #37 (in 1970 and 1973 respectively). Her cover of Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man" landed at #40 in 1969. She made multiple appearances on country music programs such as Hee Haw and guest appearances on The Mike Douglas Show, Wilbourn Brothers Show, Bill Anderson Show, Del Reeves Show, and The Ralph Emery Show.
