Paul Severs, Belgian Schlager Singer & Composer. Born in Huizingen (1948-06-26) - Died in Anderlecht (2019-04-9) Paul Severs started his carriere as the leadsinger of The Criminals. This group from Halle played the scene around "Pater Pax". He was discovered by Sylvain Tack, the big boss of the Suzy-wafels firm. In 1970 he scored the record of the year in Flanders with "Ik ben verliefd op jou" by selling 120.000 records. The French version even sold more than a million records. When Sylvain Tack started his own radiostation Mi-Amigo Internationaal, Pauls' records were played very often and became hits. 'Geen wonder dat ik ween (1970),'Irina' and 'Ieder Mens (1971) and 'Ik heb rozen voor je mee' (1972). In 1974 Sylvain sold his recordlabel to Johnny Hoes, so Paul shifted towards the Telstar recordcompany.
