Paul Ibiza

Paul "Ibiza’s" history within the rave scene spans over 18 years. He has been promoting warehouse raves since 1989 under the banner of "Fantastic Ibiza". The first few parties were co-promoted with John Maguire & Phil Hickin from Desire at Goods Way in Kings Cross. Paul also started DJing at the parties under the name DJ Static. He also launched Ibiza Records back in 1990 after a spell on the island the label was named after. Paul is seen as one of the inventors of jungle and jungle techno fusing breakbeats, Belgian techno sounds and reggae basslines.
In April 1994 he launched Jungle Splash at the Rocket in Holloway Road and after 12 years Jungle Splash is still going strong holding events at the Mass in Brixton. Also owned the Ibiza record shop.
Paul has currently teamed up with MC Shabba D running Ibiza Records, releasing MC based vocal tracks and New Skool jungle music. They have both also been running the MC Convention (Shabba n Skibadee aka "SAS") successfully for over 3 years.
