The famous rockband OXX Band was founded in the eighties by Dr. John from OXX (Jan van Os). Jan van Os died december 12th 2003 and was buried in Steenderen. After Jan died the band kept existing, as he wanted so, for 7 more years. At the goodbye concert, february 26th 2011 @ Zaal Heezen in Steenderen, their last album "30 JOAR, KLOAR IS KLOAR ..." was released.
