Oswaldir & Carlos Magrão was a Brazilian duo of nativist regional music from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, but also a little connected to the country style, which emerged in 1985 and the activities ended in 2017, formed by Oswaldir Didoné Souto (Sertão/RS, April, 9 1951) e Carlos Eugênio Knop (Campo Novo/RS, 25 de agosto de 1960). Their greatest hits are "Querência Amada", "Mulher Chorona", "Desassossegos", "Pampa na Garupa", "Adeus Mariana", "Lago Verde e Azul", "Tetinha" and others. Oswaldir had a bar in Passo Fundo, his hometown, which was later named after one of the duo's albums, Recanto Nativo, where names such as César Passarinho, Elton Saldanha and Rui Biriva, among other names, in the same bar, Oswaldir was paired with Pedro Neves and after a meeting in Porto Alegre, met his partner Carlos Magrão, who went to Passo Fundo and together began a journey of 32 years together on the stage.
