    Argentinian pianist, director, composer.

    (December 2, 1905 - July 25, 1995)

    In 1920 began performing piano is a number of cafés, performing with the likes of Paquita Bernardo.
    Then performed in the orchestras of: Roberto Firpo (circa 1925-26) - Pedro Maffia (1926), founding member - Pedro Laurenz (1934), founding member - Miguel Caló (1936)
    In addition, he directed or founded a number of ensembles that have no recorded material:
    In 1925 formed part of the Enrique Pollet sextet
    In 1929 formed with Elvino Vardaro the Pugliese-Vardaro sextet. Disbanded 1931.
    In 1931 joins the Alfredo Gobbi sextet.
    In 1932 to 1934, and 1938, runs his own ensembles and performs in minor venues.

    By 11 August, 1939 he assembles the orchestra that would go on to record as Osvaldo Pugliese Y Su Orquesta Típica which he directed until he passed away.
    In the 50s he found himself censored and forbidden from performing due to political controversies.
