Brazilian vocal and instrumental group, formed by the nephews of the Trigêmeos Vocalists. Brothers Mario Bruno Gonçalves Carezzato (São Paulo SP 1941-), keyboards, and the twins Raul and Humberto Carezzato Sobrinho (São Paulo SP 1946-), vocals and double bass, in addition to Antônio Carlos de Abreu (São Paulo SP 1946-), drums, and Ricardo Fernandes de Morais (São Paulo SP 1953-), rhythm guitar. Os Carbonos was formed in the 1960s in São Paulo. It is one of the first groups to cover locally international hits. They used the names The Witchcraft and Os Quentes before adopting Os Carbonos in 1966. Under that name, the group released about 20 LPs. Throughout the 1970s, they used various other names, appearing as Androids, The Mackenzie Group and Carbono 14. As The Magnetic Sounds, they recorded albums and accompanied singers Gilbert and Norma Aguiar on the Supererotica series of LPs (1972-1973, New Records). They also appeared in bailes (dancing concerts), mainly in the North-Northeast of the country. At the end of the 1990s, they started to accompany singer Gilliard on records and concerts.
