Orkest De Ereprijs

orkest de ereprijs is a Dutch 15-piece contemporary ensemble based in Apeldoorn and directed by conductor Wim Boerman. As one of the leading groups for new music in the eastern Netherlands, De Ereprijs is often commissioned to perform and premiere original compositions. Musicians are taking on projects in a wide range of genres, from classical chamber works to pop songs and experimental soundscapes, thanks to an expandable and versatile line-up with invited soloists, additional instrumentalists and vocalists, as well as electronic sound manipulation. Orkest De Ereprijs had been participating in numerous interdisciplinary projects, combining music with dance, sculpture, cinema, theatre and architecture.

In collaboration with Koninklijk Conservatorium, Den Haag, Koninklijk Conservatorium, Den Haag, and ArtEZ (Arnhem/Enschede/Zwolle), the orchestra organizes an annual Young Composers Meeting, accepting compositions from young artists around the world for a competition. 24th event is scheduled for Feb-Mar 2018.
