From Athens, Greece, Omegahertz is a psychedelic music project created in 2004. Also vocalist, performer of live and electronic Instruments of many kinds, composer, mastering engineer, disk jockey, events promoter-organizer and radio producer he has In 2008 he started his label [L=Elxis Discographic]. The name Omegahertz comes from the Hellenic letter, Omega (Ω) and hertz, the S.I. measuring unit of frequencies. In 1994, still a young guy from Athens, Dimitrios was occupied with electronic music with a growing interest in techno/dance. Around this time he started amateur deejaying as a 'cassette jockey' on private parties. A short time later psychedelic music became his major musical expression. By 1998 he produced complete psychedelic goa and uplifting trance productions and this was also the time he started work as a professional DJ for the night clubs of Athens and beyond. Later on he also experimented with other musical styles such as ambient, chillout, Hellenic traditional music, ethnic, drum n’ bass, house and euro trance.
