Romanian singer born 1st february 1970, Ploieşti, România, wife of composer Laurenţiu Matei.
In 1990 NICO graduated from "The Popular Art School" and starting from 1996 she attended several Romanian performing Contests where she won some very significant prizes (at least for her). Nico competed in the Romanian Selection for Eurovision in 2003 (song: "The only one"), 2004 (song: "Feeling Snow White"), 2005 with Mihai Trăistariu performing "All the time" (3rd), in 2006 with Akcent, performing "Jokero" (the runner-up that year) and in 2007 performing "Dulce-amaruie" and "Love is all you need" .
She also is a regular collaborator with the Romanian gangsta / thug rap scene, featuring on releases from B.U.G. Mafia, Codu' Penal or Cabron.
