Nickolas Ashford (born May 4, 1942, Fairfield, South Carolina, USA - died August 22, 2011, New York, New York, USA) was an American singer, songwriter, and producer. Together with his wife Valerie Simpson formed a songwriting-production team, often credited on releases as Ashford & Simpson.
Inducted into Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2002.
