Nellie Forbush

Nellie Forbush is a fictional character who first appeared in the book of short stories titled Tales of the South Pacific (1947) by James A. Michener. The book was adapted by Rodgers & Hammerstein into a stage musical South Pacific (1949). A film version was released in 1958 with Mitzi Gaynor playing the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush.
